ABOUT NPP, INC
Serving your community since 1967. The Narcotics Prevention Project Inc. was originally incorporated in the fall of 1967
as a private non-profit community based organization. It’s founder Juan
Acevedo had the “The Impossible Dream” come true at that time. It
has approached its 39th year of providing continuous services to the greater East Los Angeles Community. NPP is also known as the community Health Care Clinic/NPP. We
are licensed by the Sate Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs as a primary care medical clinic and have full accreditation
by CARF, the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission.
Our funding is received by Medi-Cal and by private paying clients who are charged for services based on a sliding fee scale.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide an opportunity for it's clients to recover from their dependency
on chemical substances by providing services which allow these clients to break free from addiction and associated mental
and physical illness. The ultimate goal of the program is the development of a drug-gfree life forthe client, and the promotion
of a community free of addictive drugs.
